Four Point Welding Technology

Each Quantum2 window is produced with the latest window manufacturing techniques. One of the most important is the utilization of four point welders. A computer-controlled welding machine fuses each corner of the frame and sash to its counterpart to create one single piece. This welding process eliminates air infiltration and unsightly joints. There are no screws or fasteners. And, each corner is milled smooth to provide a clean, uninterrupted appearance.

Computer Controlled Glass Assembly

Every piece of glass that goes into a Quantum2 window is cut to exact tolerances by computer controlled glass cutting equipment. Once cut, these pieces are washed and fitted with a spacer system that provides the dead air space between the two glass panes. This glass “sandwich” is fired in a 400-degree oven that melts perimeter sealant and seals the glass to the spacer. The result is a clean, durable, airtight, hermetically sealed insulated glass.

Computer Controlled Routing Systems

Each component of a Quantum2 window is positioned and fastened to the window through computer controlled routing systems. Routed slots to accept tilt latches, cam locks, keepers, and night latches are positioned on a robotic routing machine that precisely locates each part. Mounted to the window by pneumatic tools, these components are guaranteed to operate properly for the life of the window.

Quality Control Checks

At every phase of manufacturing Quantum2 windows and doors, strict quality control checks are implemented. The “We’ll catch it at the end of the line” mentality does not exist. Every operation and every component is subjected to strict tolerances, and should any part of the process fail outside those tolerances, adjustments are made immediately. The result is a clean, properly functioning window designed and manufactured to fit exactly into each opening of the home.
